In Nebraska there is a wonderful mix of wide-ranging landscapes, big cities and historical sights: something for everyone, quite simply!

Omaha
Omaha is Nebraska’s largest city, and there are plenty of things to see and do in the city. In addition to good shopping and many nice restaurants, there are also many museums and amusement attractions for the whole family. For example, the Henry Doorly Zoo is one of the most visited attractions in the entire state, and at the Durham Museum you can follow the historical development of the American West.

Pioneer Village
Just off Highway 6 near Minden is the large open-air museum Pioneer Village. In Pioneer Village there are a large number of buildings from the 1830s onwards, and here you can learn more about the development of American life up to the present day.

Among other things, it is possible to view old vehicles, visit old shops and houses and also experience performances by people in period clothes. A perfect destination for the whole family!

Chimney Rock
In western Nebraska is one of the state’s most famous landscapes. Chimney Rock is a unique rock formation that rises high above the surrounding landscape. It therefore came in the 19th century to become a famous landmark among those who emigrated from the East Coast to the West Coast, and today Chimney Rock is a historical landmark visited annually by thousands of tourists. In the area there is also a museum with exhibitions about the importance of Chimney Rock and the emigration to the west.
